Hi.
I was googling on what should I name this entry.. I was thinking of 1 year and 7 months but I wanna go with something new and so I google-d.
Q: What is the true word for month anniversary..
A: Sometimes we use the phrase "one month anniversary" or "x-month
anniversary" to denote a milestone in months rather than years.
However, "anniversary" is the 'annual recurring of a past date event'
(dictionary.com), technically referring to years, not months. Is
there a word, derived from Latin or otherwise that is more accurate
when referring to the 'monthly recurring of a past date event'?
If the word for the commemoration of a yearly event is anniversary, byanalogy the logical word for the commemoration of a monthly eventshould be "mensiversary." "Anniversary" comes from the Latin "annum,"meaning year. (The "versary" part comes from a Latin word referringto turning.) The Latin word for month is "mensis." Hence, mensiversary.

(Hope that you learn a new word today! Like me:)
Move on to my mensiversary story. I treated my two men a nice dinner on Friday the 10th which was also our 19th months as man and wife. I told my husband I nak bawa dia makan for my first paycheck working at Ministry of Tourism Malaysia. The mensiversary dinner part was a surprised though :)
We went to Meatworks at Citta Mall, Ara Damansara.
